How does it work?
The Drumstick Dash, a 5K race/walk held every Thanksgiving in Roanoke by the Rescue Mission, is fast becoming a well-loved local tradition. Send in your memory (both text and photo) of your participation in the Dash and why you “moved your feet so others could eat.” The essay with the most votes will run in The Roanoke Times on Sunday, November 21, 2010.
400-word limit. (Tip: type your essay in a word processing program first, and use the software tool to count the number of words; when you are finished with the essay, cut-and-paste the text into the contest entry page.)
