GAS GIVEAWAY RULES 2013
The Roanoke Times is providing this contest. Stop In Food Stores is the sponsor of the contest.
To be eligible for the contest, find the sticky note with a scratch-off in The Roanoke Times on Sunday, July 21 and scratch it to reveal the number underneath.
Enter your number at http://www.roanoke.com/contests by 11:59 a.m. on Friday, July 26. Keep your
sticky note with the scratch-off number. The six winning numbers will publish in The Roanoke Times on
Sunday, July 28. Winners must have their scratched off sticky note with the winning numbers to claim
their prize.
SUBMISSIONS:
You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest.
This contest is void where prohibited by law. No purchase necessary.
Employees and contractors The Roanoke Times, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising
sponsors (Stop In) and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members (defined as parents, spouse, children, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, as well as any person with whom they are domiciled) of each are not eligible to participate in this contest.
SELECTION OF WINNER:
The Roanoke Times will select six winning numbers at random on Friday, July 26. The winning
numbers will publish in The Roanoke Times on Sunday, July 28. Winners must claim their prize at
The Roanoke Times office at 201 W. Campbell St. Roanoke, VA by Monday, August 19 or another winner will be selected. To claim your prize, winners must present their sticky note with the scratched off winning numbers.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
PRIZES:
One Grand Prize winner will receive $1,000 gas card.
Five other winners will each receive a $100 gas card.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest
commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to The Roanoke Times the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the contest.
The Roanoke Times reserves the right to use any and all information related to the contest, including
information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose,
unless prohibited by law.
If you provide your cell phone number, you are opting into Stop In’s texting campaign and agree to receiving occasional text messages from Stop In Food Stores. You may opt out from receiving these text messages by simply following the directions provided by Stop In Food Stores. Depending on your cell phone plan, texting rates may apply.

Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary

viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners claim their prize with their sticky note revealing the numbers.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
The Roanoke Times reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
